Diploma Ceremony at Turkish Military Academy
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan participated in the graduation ceremony for the 165th term of the Turkish Military Academy. The ceremony was launched when President Erdoğan greeted the students of the Academy. After Commander of the Military Academy Gen. İzzet Çetingöz and top scoring cadet Lt. Furkan Uzer each made a speech, the graduating cadets took oath and Lt. Uzer hammered a star and a plaque into the wood block. The students later received diplomas.
President Erdoğan presented diploma to Lieutenant Furkan Uzer, the top scoring student in the Academy. Speaker Cemil Çiçek of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) gave diploma to the second best student Lt. İsmail Aksoy and as for the third top scoring cadet, Lt. Ömer Burak Keskinkılıç, he received diploma from the hands of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu.
736 students, 42 of whom were from Turkey’s sister countries, graduated from the Turkish Military Academy.
